Alvaro Romano - Ginastica Natural Pofessor and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt - has trained Rickson Gracie, Andre Galvao (current Jiu Jitsu World Champion), Xande Ribeiro, and UFC Champion George St. Pierre, just to name just a few, and he's coming to Connecticut to conduct a seminar at our gym! The seminar will be held at our newest location in Fitness 4000 at 4000 Park Ave. in Bridgeport, CT on Sat. Nov 15th.

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to improve their conditioning and learn the most sport-specific training for BJJ and MMA.

This seminar is open to the public; email Roger for information.

Private instruction from Alvaro is available by appointment.

CTMMA and Gracie Sports Academy want to congragulate Neiman Gracie and Joe Oppedisano for their efforts competing at the 2008 Jiu Jitsu World Championships at Cal State Long Beach. Joe weighed in at 195lbs and competed Super Heavy with his smallest opponent weighing in at 270lbs. Neiman also made a great showing, winning all his matches on Friday before getting disqualified due to illegal foot lock in his fourth match. This was a great event! Also Check out Gracie Magazine and Tatame for photos and coverage of the event.
